Joshua is finishing up work on his Master of Science in Education degree with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Joshua is currently in his internship placement under the supervision of Dan Maki, MA, LMFT, LICSW. He also holds a degree in music from Winona State University.
Joshua loves making connections with individuals, couples, and families of all kinds (heterosexual, LGBTQ+, Poly, ENM, etc.) using experiential, attachment-oriented, trauma focused, and person-centered approaches. He relies on being fully present with clients, and uses a framework of Gestalt, Emotion-Focused Couples/Family Therapy, Non-Violent Communication, and Mindfulness based practices to assist clients in understanding their needs, build greater awareness of felt experience, and improve and repair emotional connections in relationships.
Joshua enjoys spending time with his family, trail running, swimming in icy waters, and making and listening to music.
Joshua sees clients during the day in Virginia on Mondays and in the evenings in Duluth Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays.
